Building reconciliation infrastructure for India
Terra Insight is a Bangalore-based software company. Our flagship product, TransactIG, is a configurable reconciliation engine built for high-volume Indian enterprises — handling TDS, GST, platform settlements, and multi-party batch aggregation at scale.
Reconciliation failures are not an accounting problem. They are an infrastructure problem.
Most Indian enterprises manage reconciliation through spreadsheets, manual bank statement downloads, and custom ERP scripts. At low volumes, this works. At 50,000 transactions per month across multiple banks, payment gateways, and tax deductors, it breaks — silently, repeatedly, and at the worst possible time (quarter close).
Terra Insight was founded to build the infrastructure layer that should have existed. TransactIG is not a reporting tool or an ERP module. It is a purpose-built reconciliation engine — with configurable matching rules, structured exception taxonomy, full audit trails, and native support for India-specific compliance patterns.
Our clients include enterprises in healthcare billing, IT services, logistics, hospitality, and NBFC lending — sectors where reconciliation complexity is high and the cost of errors is directly measurable.
Principles that shape every product decision
Infrastructure, not software
Reconciliation is not a feature. It is load-bearing infrastructure. We build accordingly — with audit trails, exception taxonomies, and failure modes designed from first principles.
India-first architecture
TDS deductions, GST input credit mismatches, NACH batch returns, and IATA BSP cycles are not edge cases for us. They are the core design surface. Every configuration preset is built for Indian regulatory reality.
Configurable, not customised
Every deployment uses the same engine. What changes is the configuration — matching rules, tolerance bands, variance taxonomy, and integration connectors. This allows us to deploy in weeks, not months.
Auditability by default
Every match, every exception, every manual override is time-stamped and stored. Audit readiness is not a bolt-on. It is the default state of every TransactIG deployment.
Company milestones
Terra Insight incorporated in Bangalore. Development of the TransactIG matching engine begins.
Core matching engine built and tested against real transaction data. Four-pass resolution approach validated on 781-row test pack, achieving 88% projected match rate.
ISO 27001:2022 certification achieved. First enterprise client successfully onboarded. Platform covers 24 industry verticals and 8 reconciliation patterns.
Significant product enhancements — expanded vertical coverage, optimised matching performance, and additional India-specific compliance patterns. Patent applications filed for core matching algorithms.
Information security management system certified. Covers data handling, access controls, incident response, and vendor management.
Core matching engine and variance taxonomy methodology are the subject of Indian patent applications. Proprietary logic, not open-source commodity tools.
Founded by operators with hands-on experience in supply chain finance, sales operations, and enterprise data at Amazon India, Intuit, and the Tata Group.
